Iona Jelf

ionaIona has been growing food organically for 25 years, and now embraces permaculture systems as the most viable alternative to address environmental and social sustainability.

She has inspired children through initiating school gardens and is dedicated to support Earthcare’s Localising Food Project.

Iona is currently part of a collaborative garden, sharing work and produce alike, and is one of the core members of the Golden Bay Seed Exchange. She is lobbying local government to enable multiple occupancy on rural land in the Tasman District, with a view to co-creating an eco-village in the area.
